On Saturday July 20th, 2024 the Hitchcock family of Maplecrest, NY set off “down the mountain” to enjoy an evening of celebration in honor of the 75th birthday of one of its matriarchs, Debbie Hitchcock. The mood was joyful and everyone in the vehicle was excited. However after turning on to Route 23 tragedy struck when the vehicle, carrying the family and driven by Dennis Hitchcock, was hit head on. “In a twinkling” Debbie, her son Bill, and Bill’s wife Stephanie were all taken home to be with their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

While we mourn their passing, and grieve for the many years of guidance, friendship and celebration that will never come to pass, we lean on our faith secure in the knowledge “that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose” —Romans 8:28.

This website is the story of our recovery, it is the fulfillment of Romans 8:28 and this is how the Lord sustains us.
